When girls, boys, women and men are empowered
with skills they need for working life, they
thrive. They can support themselves, their families and
communities. However, one-third of the world's
1.8
billion young people are currently neither in
employment, education or training. Of the 1
billion more
youth that will enter the job market in the next
decade, only 40% are expected to be able to get
jobs that
currently exist.
The global economy will need to create 600
million jobs over the next 10 years to keep pace
with
projected youth employment rates. It's clear
that youth unemployment is an urgent and complex
challenge affecting society, the economy and
governance globally. To address these critical
issues,
Manzil Organization Balochistan
is working with
governments, international organizations and
development organizations to increase and
improve young people's access to financial
services,financial literacy and entrepreneurship and
employment skills training.
SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP
People living in the suburbs faces many
difficulties that a person living in an urban
area. Providing
them the opportunity for making their income and
improving their livelihood can be challenging.
However, there should be an entrepreneurship
program that not only supports one household but
also
helps the whole community to get benefited from
the program. This could be a challenging
intervention
but it can help the while community to mitigate
the issues from their locality.
Manzil
Organization
Balochistan
is emphasizing on the Social Entrepreneurship programs for providing the
opportunities to
the people of suburbs for becoming social
entrepreneur. The focus of the social
entrepreneur will to
highlight the problem of the community and will
work on the issue to mitigate through the
business s/he
owns and runs in the community.Additionally, the program also helps the social
entrepreneurs to make linkages in the main
market and
get facilitated through easiest available
communication process. The linkages will make
the social
entrepreneurs more strong in their business.
EDUCATION & LITERACY
Every child has the right to access safe,
quality education. However, 124 million children
across the
world are out of school and 250 million are not
learning basic skills as a result of poor
quality education.
Girls, children with disabilities, those from
minority groups and children living in poor and
remote
areas are most often denied access to education.
This has far-reaching consequences on their
futures and
those of their families, communities and
countries.
We promote free, equal access to quality
education for all children from early learning
to secondary
education. We work with children, their
families, communities, wider society and
governments, and
advocate at both local and international levels,
so that all children are able to get an
education.
FORMAL EDUCATION
Every child has the right to a safe, formal,
quality education and access to lifelong
learning. However,
due to a combination of factors, many girls are
forced to leave school while others never have
the
opportunity to go in the first place. One
hundred and thirty million girls are not in
education. Fifteen
million are expected to never enroll at all.Girls are 1.5 times more likely than boys to be
completely excluded from primary education, and
at the
end of 2015 less than half of all countries had
achieved gender parity in education at secondary
level.
School is a space in which girls exercise their
agency, make their voice heard, and access their
first
leadership opportunities.
As a result of gender inequality in education,
they are also denied the chance to develop
skills that will
help them take charge in their homes, careers,
communities and countries. We aim to provide
millions
of girls across the word with safe, quality,
gender-transformative education so they may find
their
voices and learn to lead. We are directly
supporting millions of girls to get the
education they need to
transform their lives and secure their futures.
This means working to ensure free and equal
access to
quality, safe education for all girls, including
in areas affected by emergencies.
We focus our efforts on equality, inclusion and
diversity. Our programs don't just work in
classrooms
with teachers, but also include communities,
governments, religious leaders, family members
and
children in order to bring an end to gender
inequality in education. We work with schools
and teachers
to help make our programs gender-transformative
- so that girls understand they have the right
to fully
realize their potential and are equally
deserving of the skills required to succeed.
